El Palomar ("the Dovecot") is like a bird's nest in the rear of the building. The name is inspired by our grandmother's love for porcelain doves. Its balcony wraps around the interior patio shaft. Revel in that Caribbean feeling of being inside and outside at the same time. Surrounded by greens and botanicals, sink into the relaxing round Papasan chairs and tell us how you plan to save the world before you leave. The balcony is a sweet, contemplative place to watch the rain trickle down.
El Palomar is on the top floor of a family-run 19th Century building located within city walls, within steps to many historic sites, art, cultural events, fine restaurants and nightlife. There is a bar on the first floor, but we have devised clever strategies with fans to create white noise.
We're a couple in our 40s seeking a bit of adventure off the beaten path.
We love the arts, cultural events and culinary surprises.
We enjoy keeping our home neat and with clean energy.
