Our house is only 5 minutes drive from a lagoon in St Leu and the best known surfing spot on the island. As we live in the tropics you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch from our terrace with a nice view over the Indian Ocean. The house is nicely furnished with a very spacious bathroom and one cosy room for children plus an independent furnished wooden unit (room) with its own toilet. We've got one very cute bunny Gasper living in the garden.

We are Nycko and Libu, a Franco-Czech couple with one 3 year old daughter born in Reunion. We met 8 years ago in Australia and are both open minded in late thirties. We've traveled for quite some time all over the world to find our place to settle down. We own a small language training centre and enjoy a good life in Reunion (snorkeling, diving, windsurfing and hiking) Home exchange seems to be a great way to enjoy and stay in different countries feeling almost like a resident and to get in touch with people who'd like to explore our little island. We haven't done a home exchange before but are very keen to try that.
Reunion might not be very known in the world but it's a real hidden paradise. Similar to Hawaii there are impressive mountains with three exceptional cirques making our place a real hiking paradise. Nice beaches with very good snorkeling and surfing in the west. Waterfalls and a volcano in the south (not dangerous but still one of the most active volcanoes in the world!) Everything within quite a short driving distance. If you like nature and adventurous holidays it's the right place for you. Reunion is a French department with all the pros of French system - good roads, hospitals, supermarkets, restaurants, excellent bakeries and food in general plus very friendly people. http://www.lonelyplanetimages.com/africa/reunion
