About our home

Designed by the famous architect Richard Bordenache in the 1930s for a Danish geologist involved in finding oil for one of the first refineries in Europe, it was nationalized by the Romanian communists after 1945 and turned into the city hall - most likely because it was the most beautiful house in the city. After being returned to the family, it was sold to the family owning it today and carefully restored.
