About our home

The flat is located in a quiet and green neighborhood, near the metro station and city buses.
It has 2 big bedrooms, one with queen-sized beds ( 160x200cm) and second with a 160x200cm bed attached to a 90x200cm bed for families with kids, for better co-sleeping or just for more space to sleep.
Of course, there is a fully equipped kitchen( with a very time saving Tefal One Pot so you can put some incredients in and find a warm dish already made when you come back home from exploring the city).
The cozy living room has a videoprojector with Netflix and Alexa can offer you some music to enjoy from Spotify. She also can turn lights of from living room and bedroom if you are too tired after a long day :)

Lidl supermarket nearby ( 500 meters) with fresh fruits and bakery.
10 minutes of walking to the park.
Sofa ( not extensible) and armchairs in the living room.
Crib, high chair and baby toys if you have a baby. We can hide them if not or, if your kids are older and need something else we can buy it. We will end up needing it at some point, I guess.

The bus station is 500 m ( 5 min walking).
Metro station is 7 minutes walking. Also, a taxi is very cheap. From the city center, you pay 5 euro for a taxi or Uber.

No TV, sorry! We use a video-projector with a 5.1.2 Denon audio-system and Netflix for movies.

From Bucharest, you can have 1-3 day trips to other beautiful cities in Romania, like:
Sinaia- 1.5 h by train
Brasov- 2 h by train
Sighisoara- 2 h from Brasov
Constanta 2.5 h by train
Targoviste 1 h by train
Campina- 2 h by bus
Cluj Napoca 1 h flying
Timisoara 1 h flying
My flat it's located very convenient for you to go to the main train station or airport. Very cheap flights to most of the big European capitals.

More about us

  1. I am a Digital Trainer and an Executive Business Coach.

  2. My husband is a physicist and we travel with our 1 year old baby girl.

  3. I have had around 30 succesfull home exchanges in the last 5 years( on another website): Moscow, Spain(Huelva), Spain ( Alicante), Spain (Madrid), Portugal ( near Lisboa), Thailand ( Pattaya), Thailand (Bangkok), USA ( Washington DC), Bulgaria ( Sunny Beach- twice), Greece- twice, Poland ( Warsaw), Albania ( Tirana- our guest used to live in Morroco when they visited us, but now moved to Tirana and we are invited there also), France ( Paris), France ( Nimes) , France ( Cannes), Romania-twice, Iceland and I am sure there are a few more I can't think about right now.
I love this way of discovering the world and living like a local in different countries. My big dream is to visit all the countries in the world.

We take care of your home as it was our own and leave it as we found it.

The flat is located in a new building ( 2012) in a green neighborhood, surrounded by house and gardens, not communist blocs as the most part of the city has.
New metro station Laminorului is a 600-700 meters from home ( 5-7 minutes). It might not be on old metro maps because it was opened 1 year ago.
