About our home

Our holiday house is situated in a pretty mountain village in a stunning location. It is only 30 mins by car from Brasov and 15 mins from Dracula's Castle. Great views but not total isolation.

The house has 2 bedrooms upstairs and a large kitchen/living area at the ground floor with a great terrace with dramatic views of the Piatra Craiului mountains. A very stylish stove in the living room compliments the scenery and provides comfort in the colder months. The house was built in 2008 and has a usable area of 100 sqm.

The kitchen is well equipped with top class furniture, full range of appliances (induction, combination steam oven). The house is accessible at any time of the year.

• Quick access to interesting sites in Transylvania
• Great view of mountains but house not isolated.
Dining late on the terrace in the summer evenings.

Poiana Brasov, 40 min by car: The biggest and most luxurious winter resort in Romania being one of the most pristine and well preserved mountain areas in Eastern Europe.

Dracula's Castle, Bran (20 min) by car is a national monument and landmark in Romania. Surrounded by an aura of mystery and legend and perched high top a 200-foot-high rock, Bran Castle owes its fame to its imposing towers and turrets as well as to the myth created around it by Stocker's Dracula.

Brasov, 30 min by car - Ringed by the peaks of the Southern Carpathian Mountains and resplendent with gothic, baroque and renaissance architecture, as well as a wealth of historical attractions, Brasov is one of the most visited places in Romania.

Peles Castle Sinaia, 1 hour by car - Nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains in the town of Sinaia, Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German new Renaissance architecture, considered by many one of the most stunning castles in Europe.

German fortified Churches and the city of Sighisoara. A tour of the german legacy of Transylvania will enlighten you to the eras that have shaped this land and its people. Why do you think Prince Charles loves this place? Never mind this! You should decide why you love it.

A comfortable sofa in the living room can accommodate two extra persons if needed.

As seasoned travelers we really know the value of the tips from a local. So never hesitate to ask, we would like that you make the most of your stay so if you tell us a bit about what you like we can offer some helpful suggestions that will make your stay most enjoyable.

We also have our main residence in Bucharest and that is also available to for exchange. We have family living close by. Bucharest is an interesting stop for your voyage and for anybody arriving by plane quite possibly also an obligatory one as well.
