About our home

Cosy and well-equipped apartment in the historical district in the center of St. Petersburg, Russia.

This is a large and beautifully furnished apartment on the first floor of a 19th century building in central St. Petersburg. The area is a historical district where Semyonovsky Life-Guards Regiment used to quarter two centuries ago. The Regiment was one of the two oldest guards regiments of the Imperial Russian Army.

There is one bedroom with double bed, spacious living room, huge studio, kitchen. The total space is about 100 square meters, with high ceilings and big double-glazing windows.

A good size kitchen fully-equipped: big fridge with freezer, gas cooker, electric kettle, electric oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, electric juice squeezer and plenty of cooking utensils.

The living room has one big sofa-bed suitable for two persons, a dining table with 4 chairs, a beautiful original fireplace and a 50 inch TV. Also we have many books and albums for those interested in the history of arts.

The very special room is a professional artist's studio with an easel and everything you need to paint. Also there is a scanner and printer in case you need to connect your laptop and work digitally. WiFi is available throughout the apartment, high speed internet connection.

One bathroom and one WC, central hot water, no need to use any heaters.

The flat is not only very spacious but also gets a lot of light. It is very quiet: the main bedroom overlooks courtyard at the rear and the street is not busy at all.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Calm and green neighbourhood, nice park nextdoor, beautiful Fontanka river embankment 10 minutes walk.

Easy access from and to Pulkovo airport (50 minutes on public transport, 20-30 via taxi), 5 minutes walk to the Technologicheskiy Institute underground station, which is only 2 stops from the Nevsky prospect. 10 minutes walk to the Vitebskiy railway station, from where just in 30 minutes you can get to the Pavlovsk Palace which is an 18th-century Russian Imperial residence built by Paul I of Russia. The palace and the large English garden surrounding it are now a Russian state museum and beatiful public park.

Extremely good transport connections (tube and buses) to all other parts of St. Petersburg. Also a good area to walk around, not popular touristic attraction, but interesting and atmospheric.

Literally nextdoor there is a small supermarket "Diksi" (an average grocery's), a concert hall "Cosmonavt" and a rock climbing club.
