A tidy bright apartment that was only built in 2010, so benefits from large double glazed large French windows. Coming out from lounge and bedroom (now via office due to extension) there is a terrace and a garden (about 40m2) where you can sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee or even get some tan during the summer months.
We have a separate bedroom and a further option of another sofa bed in the lounge if you need 2 more sleeping places. We have bright furniture and a large selection of books. We are the bottom apartment and it is nice and quiet.
We are a young and hard working couple who enjoy travelling and meeting people. We have lived in the UK as well as Slovakia. John owns a software company and Petra owns an e-shop and is still studying languages. We would welcome any questions from you and look forward to a great swap.
Situated in a suburban area, there is plenty to do here at all times. It is in a safe and lively suburb but still only about 5-10 minutes away from a quiet and beautiful forest. There is a shopping centre within a short walking distance (with well stocked food hall), and few bars and restaurants nearby.
There is a park right under the apartment building leading into the larger town centre and the actual centre is about 25 minutes by walk.
Trencin itself is a beautiful old town with a castle from the 9th century (the eldest part). With a few squares and promenades, old Jewish synagogue, shops and little cafes, this really is a place worth visiting. For nature lovers, this is an ideal location as well. Walking (or cycling) through the forest or by the river is great way of spending the days. If you fancy a longer trip, Slovakia has beautiful mountains (High Tatras, near the Polish borders or centrally located Slovak Paradise are worth mentioning), many lakes, caves and other tourist attractions. Being literally in the heart of Europe, a few other capitals are within driving distance - just over 2 hours to Vienna (Austria), about 3 hours to Budapest (Hungary) and about 4 hours to Prague (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Poland). It is often cold and snowy in the winter months and hot and sunny in the summer, but whatever time of year you come it is a lovely place. http://www.trencin.sk/en/mesto http://www.lonelyplanet.com/slovakia
