About our home

Our castle-style house is in the country town of Great Brak River, halfway between Mosselbay and George. George Airport is 20minutes drive from Great Brak River. This part of South Africa is called the Garden Route, the most beautiful route in South Africa. This is a very safe area of South Africa, but we have 4 security systems (Alarms, electric fencing, CCTV cameras and see-through burglar bars. The ambiance of the house, inside and outside is luxurious, very spacious and calm.

We are sitting high up on a hill rght in the middle of town with an eagle's view of the surrounding area, mountains, river and sea.
We have 5 restaurants, a church, food superette, and library within walking distance. Also tennis courts, bowls, and a few supermarkets are 2 km from us. With the river forming the centre of town, we have safe walking trails right in town, about 200m from the house.

The house is newly built around a garden and a pool, so everything is very exclusive and private. We have a huge open plan area, a separate indoor braai area, an outside braai area, the master guest suite. If more than 2 people are visiting, we have a lovely brand new cellar with 2 beds and bathroom and a kitchenette for coffee/ drinks. Parking is on the paved area at the entrance and 24 hour CCTV cameras lends extra security. We also have an alarm system and electric fencing around the house.

From the kitchen is a laundry with washing machine and dishwasher, a sunny courtyard for drying of clothes, linen, etc. There is also a laundromat 2 km from our home, fees R26/kg (wash & iron), very convenient and inexpensive.
