About our home

A well equipped three bed-roomed house with beautiful mountain and sea views. There are 3 double bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. The second bedroom has a double deb. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. It is very well equipped home for easy living and relaxation. The garage is inter-leading. This is the perfect spot for people who want to get away from cities to a quiet retreat, yet it has all the amenities needed. There are numerous hiking trails in close proximity. It is close to the beach for swimming and surfing and close to the fresh water lake where you can swim as well. The weather is fine all year round. winter day temperature never go below 15 degrees C. You can either simply relax, enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings, or visit many surrounding town to experience historic homesteads, wine farms and shopping centers.

We have our primary home in Cape Town. It is a large 3 bedroomed home of 300m2 with lounge, dining room, living room large kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.This house could also be considered as alternative to negotiate as an Exchange destination. It is situated 10 minutes from Cape Town international airport and 15 minutes drive from Cape Town centre city.

  1. My name is Christie. I am a school principal. My wife, Sophimarié, is a grade 3 teacher and we have a son, Jan-Hendrik, 22 years old, who studies B.Com. Marketing. We all love travelling, meeting people and enjoy the food and culture of other countries. We enjoy beautiful music, gardens, art, architecture and enjoy experiencing the ambiance of different countries.

Where is it?


The house is situated in the Kogelberg Biosphere with the largest concentration of fynbos per square kilometer in the world. It is close to the Harold Porter Botanic Gardens. It is situated on the whale trail with lovely scenic drives. Somerset West, Stellenbosch and Cape Town is within day trip reach. It is a 1 hour drive from Cape Town International Airport. There is lots to experience in the Overberg District with beautiful country style living and many wine farms to visit. There are numerous good restaurants.
