About our home

Our house is situated in the seaside village of Brenton on sea just outside the lively village of Knysna on the garden route in South Africa. The house has four spacious bedrooms on two levels. On the top level is a lovely deck that looks over the ocean , the sunsets from the deck is beautiful. The kitchen is big and there is also a outside entertainment area. Our beach house is a very comfortable people friendly holiday home.Brenton on sea is a peaceful place. We have a lovely view over the ocean from the house and you can walk to the beach, 5 minutes away. Hiking to the next village along the beach is a lovely hike. There is also beautiful forest close by, hiking, cycling, water sports and Golf is all there. The area is known as the Garden route and it is a lovely area to explore. If you are a foodie there is excelent Restaurants in the area to try out, foods markets every weekend. What is really nice about this house is that if you want peace and quieter just stay in the little village, if you love action it is all to be found in surrounding area.

Neighbourhood

Knysna is on the garden route . A beautiful strip along the coast line east of cape town. The area is a travelers dream. Off the beaten track of mass tourism. Brenton on sea is a small coastal village with beautiful beaches, lovely sun drenched days on the beach or long walks to the next village buffelsbaai, a truely local beaches village. Knysna is 15 minutes away, a beautiful road to travel. Knysna as a town has excellent restaurants, interesting small shops and a mall. Waterfront restaurants and shops and art galleries. The area has activities for hikers, cycling bunnies, swimmers, sailers, cocktail drinkers, hippies, intellectuals and people who loves life. This place has my heart

Buzzy restaurants
In our small village there is two restaurants . One a local no fuss place and a hotel with a beautiful view and lovely food. 15 minutes away is the town of Knysna. The range of restaurants is wide. From artisinal bakeries to easy fish and chips shops. The night life is seasonal for the late night parties.

Day tripping
The garden route. For me it is going to the forest, the beaches and driving towards Plettenberg bay and past has so many things to do like elephant sanctuaries, craft and food markets, wine tastings, hikes.... Best ever
