About our home

Cooled by sea breezes, the house is characterful, with a very spacious open plan living area with a fireplace that serves both living and dining area, modern Mediterranean-style kitchen, and separate TV room. All the main rooms have french doors opening onto the pool terrace or barbecue patio. The two double bedroom suites (kind and queen) are romantically
designed, and the third twin bedroom also has its own bathroom.
The house enjoys the best of both worlds … 500 metres from the beach and a totally
private pool area for skinny dipping! It is a few minutes walk from Hout Bay village and the market on Sundays. There are two shaded patios for outside relaxation and entertaining, one by the pool, the other with a view of the beach and the setting sun.

More about us

  1. We are Annie and Peter, I am a retired psychologist and writer and Annie is a sculptress and mostly all the paintings in the house are done by her. She is also a Body Talk practitioner and life Energy healer. We also have a holiday house in a small village called, Onrus(t), 10 minutes away from the famous whale watching town, Hermanus, which you can use when available. We love adventures and exploring other cultures in peaceful surroundings and would like others to see why we have chosen to live in Cape Town.

Where is it?

Hout Bay is a delightful holiday village with its white beaches, working fishing harbour with a huge selection of fresh fish and crayfish, many quality restaurants, cafes, shopping centres and boutiques. Within easy reach are golf courses, scenic walks on Table Mountain, horse riding, wine tasting, surfing, sailing, lovely picnic spots, the superb Botanical Gardens with their famous open air concerts, and a host of other activities. Hout Bay is the ideal starting point for exploring the rest of the beautiful Cape.
It is known for it's whale watching, July to November, and for it's Boulder's beach with penguins. Cape Town is 15 minutes away and within 2 hours driving there is a game lodge where you can see the Big Five.
