About our home

We have a beautifully decorated large 3 bedroom home with an outside cottage (sleeps 2 with ensuite bathroom) in the lush green village of Newlands in the shadow of Table Mountain. The house has a large open plan dining room and kitchen, a lounge with a 40 inch flat screen TV, and a 32 inch in the main bedroom and sun room and guest cottage, with beautiful mountain views and 3 bedrooms. We have excellent views of the mountain from our front terrace as well as a heated swimming pool in the pretty garden.

More about us

My wife and I are in our early 40's with 2 small children aged 3 and 5. We have never done an exchange before but thought that over the 2010 World Cup it would be of particular interest to Europeans wanting to come out to South Africa for the soccer.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

It is a very lush green small village. We live in a quiet lane about a 2 min drive from Newlands Forest and the world renown Kirstenbosch Gardens. The area is known for it's excellent local restaurants and pubs as well as up market shops. Cavendish Square, one of Cape Town's best Shopping Centres is a 5 min walk away. We would be particularly keen to do an exchange over the 2010 World Cup. If exchanged over this period I have already secured 2 group 16 and 4 quarter final tickets which I would make available as part of the package. Our house is close to Newlands Station and major bus routes.
