About our home

We have a beautiful home with spectacular views. When we built our home we wanted to feel as if we were always on holiday which means it is an easy to live in house. There are three bedrooms all en-suite. The main bedroom has a bath and shower. The second rooms both have a shower and toilet. All on ground level.

The upstairs level is open-plan with kitchen, living room and dinning room all leading onto outside areas for sitting and eating. There is also a separate TV room.

We have a small swimming pool perfect for cooling down in summer but it is fenced with a lock for children.

The house is on several levels so may be challenging for very young children

More about us

  1. We are a family of four. Our sons are aged 13 and 17. We love travelling and have a great deal of respect for other people's homes as we would expect from people visiting us.
    Jon is the MD of a Fintech business and Maya is a financial writer.
    We and our boys love culture and history but also adventure

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Hout Bay is just 25 minutes outside of Cape Town so close to city life and tourist spots, but you feel that you are in the countryside. We have all the amenities such as high-end grocery store and fabulous restaurants within 5kms.

Hout Bay is perfect for mountain hikes as well as going down to the beach, although it is the Atlantic Ocean so a bit chilly. Within ten minutes are some of South Africa's top restaurants and wine farms, but you may just find you want to stay at home with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset.
