About our home

We loved living here and now it is our 2nd home. We left it fully furnished and is ideal for larger families. There are 2 bedrooms en-suite with queen size beds and egyptian cotton linen and two other large rooms with 2 single beds each. Bathrooms are 3YO, stone and travertine with modern fittings. Cable TV and 2 lounges, one with gas fireplace and the other one opening to an outside barbeque under-roof area. The swimming pool is small, but it works for the hot summer days! Lovely manicured garden. The house is fenced and with an alarm, but is also situated in a lovely security complex, full of green parks and just 10 minutes walk from the beach. Unfortunately we can't offer a car, due to insurance restrictions.

More about us

We are young by soul (36 and 45YO), with a baby which we expect at end of April'10. My husband is a water-sports fanatic and property developer and I have my own business in offshore property investments. We love travelling overseas and on our list are from USA: LA, San Francisco, Miami, Las Vegas and in Europe: Italy and South of France, as well as Spain, Greece. I would love to go to Japan some day.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Big Bay is the area where the Roben Island annual Freedom swim takes place - right across from the famous island and with the most beautiful Table Mountain views. It is a tourist-friendly place with numerous restaurants and shops, all walking distance from our house. Cape Town centre is half an hour away (avoiding the traffic hours 7-9am and 16:30-18:30pm) or 25km. Close proximity to Durbanville Wine route and fast access to N1 highway which leads out of the city. Famous kite-surfing beach.
