We are a family with 2 kids, age 3 and 4, have a comfortable and eclectic home with all comforts. The house has a central area in which we live and eat, with open plan kitchen, and from which two bedrooms and two bathrooms lead off. The garden is lush and green, with heated pool and outside cottage with bathroom. We look straight onto Devil's Peak and are close to the Mountain. The entire area is wi-fi enabled with broad band access.
One bedroom, with a double bed, is upstairs in a loft and has a window which looks straight onto the Mountain, morning sun reflecting on the face of it. The other bedroom has a en suite bathroom with a victorian bath in it. A walk through closet connects both.
We are using the other room as a play room for our children. It has a bathroom with toilet and shower next to it.
We have all comforts in the kitchen, hob oven, large fridge, washing machine and dishwasher.
The living area is open plan and has a large TV, and an anthracite oven in it. The dining table is close by and located against a window wall leading into the garden and looking onto the pool.
We have off street parking behind an electric gate for three cars.
Our neighborhood is quiet, our street full of free standing family homes with garden. We are close to the City of Cape Town, 10 minutes by care to all attractions in the city, the Waterfront, the stadium and Table Mountain.
We enjoy going to the beach, the Atlantic Ocean at Camps Bay about 15 minute by car and the Indian Ocean about 20 minutes. As we are very close to the Montain, it takes about 5 minues by car to get to the best forest walks with breathtaking views of Cape Town, the city, its beaches and nature.
Nightlife is 10 minutes drive into the city.
Our proximity to the highway exchange, while not noticable, makes travelling to the Wine Lands and other attractions very easy.
The surrounding neighbourhood is vibrant and dynamic, loads of markets, restaurants, parks and little shops.
We are a family of 4, husband owns a sound studio and is a composer, wife, a director at the university. We have a son, age 4 and a daughter age 3 who attend the local Montessori KinderGarten which they enjoy tremendously. Both are active, enquiring and gentle children, and each others best friend. We have two little dogs and a cat who provide much joy for the children and are often looked after by our granny when we go on vacation.
We speak mainly english but also german and enjoy our visits with family in Germany.
