About our home

Our flat is in a 1930s cloister style block of about 20 flats with an inviting courtyard. Our flat is secure, warm and cosy with wooden floors, high ceilings and a fireplace. We comfortably entertain 8 people for dinner, and our couches are great for collapsing into. Our spare room has a single bed and a piano. Two flights of stairs, no lift. A domestic worker comes once a week. We also have a VW Polo Classic 1.4 Diesel 2004.

More about us

We are Edward and Nicholas. We are in our early 30s and have been together for 8 years, and been living in our flat for 6 years. Together we own a small software development business with offices in the city centre. Nicholas is also an actor and writer. We have done 2 other home exchange to New York and Northern California which worked out fabulously. We have busy lives and go out a lot and most restaurant owners know our faces so we'd be able to recommend our favourite spots. Our next trip is probably around June/July 2010. We're like to go for 4-6 weeks. We often need to work while we're away, so a high-speed internet connection is most essential.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

High Level Road is on the slopes of Signal Hill about 3km from the city centre. Sea Point is Cape Town's most cosmopolitan area. We're a few blocks from the famous Sea Point promenade which is about 5km long and great for jogging and sunset walks. The promenade takes you all the way to the Cape Town Waterfront. Five minute drive in the other direction takes you to Cape Town most fashionable beaches, Clifton, etc.
