Ocean View Heights is a sea view townhouse located just ten minutes walk from the beach, in Upper Sea Point. Quiet and peaceful, yet only five minutes drive (30 minutes' walk) from Camps Bay. The townhouse has easy access to all amenities, including Sea Point beach, and many excellent restaurants for eating out, local cinema etc. The property is situated in a Cul-de-sac providing a safe and very quiet environment.
Ocean View Heights has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which look out onto the pool. The master, en suite bedroom has great ocean views. There is a large open plan lounge/kitchen and dining area overlooking the communal pool through a double door leading straight onto the balcony.
The front of the townhouse has fantastic unobstructed ocean view which spans 180 degrees, whilst the back of the townhouse looks up at Signal Hill mountain. The area is very safe with remote controlled security gates surrounding the building. The surrounding area is wonderfuly quiet in a great location which means you are a stone's throw away from the bustling Sea Point area, less than 5 minutes walk away.
Long Street in the city centre offers an eclectic mix of entertainment and gets very busy in the evenings after a day on the beach.
In trendy Kloof Street, Asoka Son of Dharma is a sophisicated lounge and bar with an upmarket yet comfortable feel. There are trendy bars all the way up Kloof Street, where you can bar hop from the bottom of Kloof Street all the way up to Kloof neck - where you can then make your way around the neck into Camps Bay. Around this side of the mountain you can continue the journey and view spectacular sunsets across the ocean with plenty of trendy places to sample the delicate foods on offer. A must if you are a sea food lover - enjoy a bottle of wine whilst taking in the sun going down, savouring the sea air and enjoying the generally wonderful atmosphere if this fantastic city.
Ocean View heights is situated almost at the foot of the mountain next to Table Mountain with a pool in an enclosed environement for security and very closeto the beaches of Sea Point. You could even walk to the sexy Clifton Beaches & Camps Bay which is no more than about 30 minutes walk away.
My place is siutated in a cul-de-sac and is therefore very quiet with no through traffic. To get down to the main or beach roads you could walk down the road or go down the lovely steps that lead you all the way down. It is a pretty steep walk back up though, so can at least excercise those muscles after large lunches on the beach front.
You could walk to the Waterfront from my place and even walk to Cape Town city centre - everything is within walking distance. there is a lot of public transport available within seconds from my place so getting around will never be a problem. If you rent a car, there is parking space within the property. It is a very young community that live in the area with some of the places only being used for holiday - so can be quite quiet at times too.
I am a 34 year old professional that works in IT security. I am running the New York marathon hence my desire to stay in a comfortable place in New Yorkl close to the hussle and bustle of the city.
I figure that swapping my place for someone else's in New York is a pretty good deal and I get to benefit from my place, albeit it indirectly - I live in the UK, so don't get to use my place at all.
I speak a few different languages: English, Afrikaans, Dutch & German. Would love to learn more, but time is not always available. My interestes are plentiful but tend to be along the lines of meeting people, languages, travelling, excercise & reading - well anything that is fun!
