About our home

We live in a beautiful spacious French Provencal styled chateau. There are magnificent views over Cape Town looking over to false bay and table mountain beyond from the large terrace and balconies. It is a welcoming and warm home. My children love playing on the jungle gym and climbing the avocado trees in the gardens. There are 7 bedrooms all with ensuites and the upstairs bedrooms have their own juliette balconies. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and family area and my kids and I like to read and tell stories in the bay window ovelooking the terrace. We walk through the garden and into the neighbouring vineyard Groot Constantia the oldest vineyard in Africa nearly every day. We also have a large pool and snooker table and a tennis court as well as a separate lap pool. The best aspect of this home is that 5min walk through the vineyard you have two of the nicest restaurants in Cape Town.

We run 5 star gourmet cafes also and so we love food and wine. We have an outdoor brai and a Tandoori oven on our terrace. Our three children love living in cape town - the people are warm and friendly and they have a great outdoor lifestyle that you cannot replicate anywhere else that we have lived. we would like to spend the summer of 2010 in the Northern Hemispher perhaps in France or the UK - but we are open to offers! Please contact us as we are looking to be away from home from June to August 2010. IF you are looking for world cup accomodation let us know ASAP.

Where is it?

The property is on 2 acres and backs onto the Groot Constantia vineyard. We walk through the vines down to the restaurants and cafes in the vineyard. It is 5 min walk further on to the local shops where there are quaint French styled cafes and shops. The whole area is green and filled with ancient oak trees. Cape Town is a fantastic tourist destination and you can hike walk, play golf eat great food and wine, dive and go on safari from here. It is very affordable for all western tourists also.
