About our home

Our home is in the popular tourist area of Simon's Town,Cape Town. It is a modern and spacious 5-bedroom house on three levels. It consists of 2 apartments , one with 3 bedrooms and the other with 2 bedrooms. All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The apartments are connected by an inter-leading door. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen open-plan to a lounge and dining area. The house is approximately 550 square meters in total. We are adjacent to the Cape National Park and have panoramic views across False Bay (with it’s pristine white beaches) to the Hottentots Holland Mountains. We have a rim-flow swimming pool and French windows opening onto 4 terraces, all with sea views. There are 3 high definition TVs , Blu-Ray player, Wi-Fi throughout the house, 2 barbecues, air-conditioning and heating. Garaging for 3 cars with access to both apartments directly from the garage. The bathrooms and kitchens have granite surfaces and travertine floors, the living areas are wood-floored.

We are a retired professional couple with 4 children and 3 grandchildren. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, cycling, sailing and golf.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is ideally situated for a touring holiday of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. It is 3kms from the center of Simon’s Town, with it's picturesque and historic streets and waterfront. There are a number of swimming beaches within 1 km, including Boulders Beach and Penguin Park (where you can swim with the penguins). The mountainside with scenic walks is adjacent to our garden.
Cape Town, Table Mountain Cable Way, The Cape Town Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Gardens, and Constantia Valley with it’s wine farms are an easy and scenic 40 minute drive away. Cape Point Nature Reserve and Cape of Good Hope are 15 minutes drive from us.
Kalk Bay fishing harbour is close by; see the fishermen bring in the days' catch or watch the activities at Simon's Town Naval base and sailing club while enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants overlooking the harbour.
