About our home

Our apartment is on the second floor with ocean and mountain views. It is 50 m from the main beach, close to restaurants and shops. It has an open plan lounge-kitchen area, with granite worktops. There are two bedrooms, as well as two bathrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, with a full size electric cooker;with oven, a fridge, washing machine, and microwave oven. It has a balcony where you can enjoy drinks while watching the locals on the beach. There is a television and radio. Linen and towels are provided. It sleeps 4 people. There is parking space in the basement, where your vehicle will be safe, and a lift to the second floor. There is good security in the building, with close circuit cameras and electronic gates. The building has a private swimming pool and gym. House keeping is optional.

More about us

We are Jan and Marianne, recently retired teachers who love to travel. Our interests are music, reading and photography. We are nature lovers and enjoy traveling with our caravan. We have seen many parts of South Africa, and would like to see more of the rest of the world. We love to explore historical towns and places, museums and art galleries, but would also enjoy to experience the way the locals live. We can assure you that we would take great care of your house, and we trust that you will do the same.
Our apartment is a second home which means that non-simultaneous swaps could be considered. We would be delighted with any offer and will reply to all.

Where is it?

Gordon's Bay is a picturesque seaside town situated at the foot of the Hottentot-Holland mountain range. The harbour town offers an idyllic setting from which you can explore the beautiful Western Cape. It has a Mediterranean type climate, and there are safe swimming beaches, such as Bikini Beach, which has Blue Flag status.Gordon's Bay is ±50 km from central Cape Town, and the airport is a 30 min drive. It is close to the Stellenbosch Wine Route, where you can sample award winning wines or dine at their fine restaurants. You can drive up the coastal road towards Hermanus for one of the most magnificent drives in the country, looking over False Bay, where during spring you will see whales.
Cape Town boasts with many delights such as the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, Cape Point, the Boulders Penguin Beach, or view the scenery from the top op Table mountain.
Remember that in South Africa public transport is not always available, it is recommended that you rent a car. We can assure you that your stay will be unforgettable!
