About our home

Built of Lesotho sandstone and thatch, furnished with historic antiques, facing the most glorious views of the Champagne and Cathkin Valley and World Heritage Site Drakensberg mountains in the Central Drakensberg area of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, Inkungu Lodge offers a tranquil retreat in a touristically rich area of South Africa, with much to see and do. From the world renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir School, gorgeous hikes and horse riding trails, to the highest and longest zip-lining canopy tour, to artsy meanders through pretty countryside stuffed with eclectic collectibles and surprising artworks, this is where South Africa comes to refresh and take deep breaths of sweet pure champagne air.
