Our home is surrounded by mountains and is a ten minute walk from the sea. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe with a rural feel. There are national parks in either side of us and if you are lucky you will hear the night jar at dusk and fall asleep to the sound of the sea. There are several excellent restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and two food markets a week. You can horse ride or surf at the beach, walk in the mountains or just relax.
We have a young son. So there is a large play area in our enclosed porch, a book reading nook, small child friendly furniture and baby safety features.
Our home is rustic, cozy and self built, we renovated three years ago with a focus on comfort and lifestyle. We have a fledgling permaculture set up with rain water tanks, solar power and a vegetable garden in the front and a young fruit forest in the back. Cook with organic vegetables and herbs from the garden. We are also blessed with a small indigenous milk wood forest and there is a small lawn with a sandpit. There is a barbecue area on the patio in front of the house. So many ways to enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy the stars and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean at night, with horses clip-clopping past in the day.
We also have an additional cottage with a separate entrance next door which sleeps two which can be added to the house swap for additional points. So our property can sleep 7 including the cottage. Message me to inquire.
The neighbourhood is somewhere to escape the bustle of the city in Noordhoek's rural setting. There are several good restaurants and coffee shops to walk to and two excellent food markets a week. It is close of Cape Town's biggest attractions; Table Mountain, Cape Point, and the Boulders Beach penguins are all within 45 mins drive and we are just below the magic Chapmans Peak
Noordhoek is approximately 45 minutes from the city centre.
