About our home

Talana House is a warm and welcoming family home, with a verdant garden and Mountain views. It sleeps 8 in 4 comfortable and spacious bedrooms. There is a formal lounge, TV room and Bar with pool table as well as upstairs pajama lounge. The house is surrounded by covered patios so there is always somewhere shaded to sit on a sunny day. It is close to Kirstenbosch Gardens and a 15 minute drive to most of Cape Town’s beautiful beaches. There are many popular shopping Centre, restaurants and retail high streets close by. It’s a luxurious base from which to explore our wonderful city.

More about us

  1. We are a couple with children, and grandchildren. We have been together for more than 40 years, and both love to journey to new lands and cultures.

  2. Sid is an entrepreneur and imago facilitator, and Elle is a writer.

  3. We see our homes as sacred spaces that nurture, nourish and heal. Our holiday home holds a strong energy of family, and of rejuvenation. Comfortable, relaxed and safe.

Talana House is situated in a leafy green suburb close to Kirstenbosch Gardens and Newlands Forest. It’s 15 minutes drive in any direction to a beach or touristic site at your leisure.

There is no shortage of stylish bars in the vicinity

Lots of cozy cafes nearby especially in Newlands and Constantia and there is also The Vineyard Hotel and the Alphen ( as well as the mount Nelson) for High teas or light lunch.

We are close to the Norval Foundation and the Zeitz Modern can be found 15 minute drive away the the V & A waterfront
