Where is it?
LAKE MICHELLE ESTATE
The house is situated in a safe eco-estate. It offers 7 kilometres of walkways and boardwalks, where you can walk, run or cycle at any time of day.
You will not find any burglar bars or electric fencing around the houses here (common in most South African homes) because in the estate there are 24 hour patrols are conducted via car, motorbike, bicycles and on foot.
Together with otters, the Western Cape Leopard toad, you will find some of Africa’s most beautiful birds in this veritable birds paradise.
For the more energetic, runners and cyclists, you are at the foot of the famed Chapmans peak Drive as well as the infamous ‘Ou Kaapse Weg ‘road.
If water sport is your thing the main lake is home to many canoes, rowing boats and paddle skies.
The house is a few minutes drive from the farm village of Noordehoek with its assortment of breakfast cafes and famous restaurants.
A shopping mall with supermarkets and all amenities is 10 minutes drive from the house.
Cape Point Vineyards (see pictures) is 5 minutes away, with regular food and wine markets with live music. Perfect for sunset on a clear day.
Long Beach (one of Cape Town's longest beaches) is 5 minutes by car.
Driving 15 minutes south takes you to Boulders Beach (home to the African King Penguin) and to Cape Point - the point where the Atlantic and Indian ocean meet.
15 minutes north takes you along Chapman's Peak Drive (voted one of the world's most scenic coastal drives), to the beautiful and quaint Hout Bay village.
