About our home

I have recently modernised this two bedroomed and two bathroomed flat. The bedrooms are on either side of the open plan living room and kitchen. The living room is very comfortable, beautifully light with open balcony and view. Rental includes fast internet, Netflicks and Box Office with dstv included. The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped with a variety of ingredients for your use should you want to cook. The flat is very quiet at night although in the heart of a fun, local and safe part of central Cape Town. We are one minute's walk off vibrant Kloof Street with it's wonderful ecclectic selection of restaurants, bars and cafes, and excellent interiors shops and local designer's pop ups. This is my favourite part of town!

  3. I love all things to do with art, architecture, music and reading, and happiest with a project which renovating my flat has just been.

Neighbourhood

This part of town is called Gardens. It lies below Higgovale just under Table Mountain, with Tamboerskloof to the right and Orangezicht to the left, all on the slopes of our iconic Table Mountain. It is a beautiful leafy safe area of town with all the benefits of Kloof Street just footsteps away. Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are five minutes by car over the mountain - fantastic sunsets and beaches - all the cultural attractions of Cape Town are within a walk of ten to thirty minutes, the V & A Waterfront is a ten minute drive, the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are a 15 minute drive away, and the airport is 20 minutes drive unless in rush hour. The My Citi Bus is three minutes walk away on Kloof Street, the sight seeing Hop On Hop Off Bus pick up is 15 minutes walk downhill to Orange Street, and Ubers are plentiful and ridiculously affordable.

Buzzy restaurants
Soooo many...The Black Sheep, Manna Epicure, Cafè Paradiso, Baccini's Italian, Carnè Bistro, Kloof Street House are all on Kloof. On the sidestreets are Miller's Thumb, Ricks American Cafè, Jerry's, Saigon Vietnamese, Thali Indian Tapas eating and a host of others.
