About our home

Our gorgeous Villa commands the stunning views over Walker Bay outside of Hermanus and Stanford( 20 minutes into Hermanus). The Whole Villa for 8-10 people or a Downstairs apartment for 6 people can be exchanged , depending on your home . WE have an acre of lawns and gardens and then wild flowers(Fynbos) on the rest. Home grown tunnel veggies , a bird-twitchers paradise. Close by in Winter the whales give birth at the Cliffs. A solar-heated salt-water pool to cool off in Summer and lots of wineries and restaurants in the area. A veritable paradise in the Overberg- 2 hours from Cape Town. Serenity and rural, yet close to Stanford and Hermanus. See the Cape another way in our Secret escape spot! Eze apartment has three bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchenette and lounge. The dining table is on the indoor veranda and a gas barbecue id outside on the patio or a wood Braai Boma in the garden near the pool. Parking is under shade cloth. Villa on the Bay Stanford is THE place to escape to the Country.

More about us

  1. I am a MATURE retired Business woman and Journalist. Now a prolific ARTIST. I have travelled all my life and although it's really exasperating with airports and crowded planes I have a travel bug but do need to be grounded in one place for a month at least. South Africa is a LONG way from everywhere! I love Food, culture, Nature and good company so often travel with friends.
My ex- husband Michael is a writer and sometimes travels with me..

  2. My house reflects the European influences of France and Italy where I have travelled extensively but never for long enough. I am British by birth and very Continental in my taste of food, style , lifestyle. I live upstairs in the Villa so the Ground floor is fine for just a couple or 4 people travelling. The Eze(as in France) apartment is self-catering and luxurious. If you want the entire Villa that isn't. a problem either as I have family in Cape Town.
