“It was such a pleasure dealing with Glynis. She was always prompt in answering messages, was very helpful. It was great that Glynis and Rick were there to meet us upon arrival (and were on hand if needed as they live in their splendid home above their beautifully furnished garden flat). We really enjoyed their company. Their local knowledge was very helpful and their enthusiasm for their adopted country was inspiring. We might have just driven past Groot Brak when travelling on the N2 along the Garden Route but are so pleased that we spent some time in this lovely village. There is also a stunning beach just a few minutes’ drive away. Thanks for a great swap. ”

About our home
We are in the wonderful garden route of South Africa at Great Brak River. The sea can be seen from the drive, but it is a twenty minute walk or two minutes by car away, with sandy beaches for miles. There are so many wonderful sights to see including a trip to Addo Elephant Park, where you can stay in a chalet for a night or two. You can see lots of Elephants, they have lion too, as well as rhino buffalo etc.

Glynis's reviews
As a host (2)“We had a good time staying at Glynis's. The compact lounge kitchen was quite adequate for the two of us........ but rather overcrowded when the monkeys decided to visit! We learnt to keep the windows closed and bananas hidden - but that is logical if you live in a jungle! We had a great time visiting the locality - beaches, game parks etc all virtually on the doorstep. Glynis and Richard were perfect hosts ensuring we were well settled in their house extension before flying off to New Zealand. We look forward to meeting them again when they have a family reunion at our place in August. Ann and Frank”
