Hangklip Mountain Cottage sits perched on a mountain, nestled amongst fynbos with magnificent ocean views, a mere hour's drive from Cape Town.
This quaint three bedroom cottage is the perfect escape for guests to unwind, relax, and recharge in a pristine natural environment. Watch as the sun sets over the uninterrupted horizon and as the lighthouse stands vigil over the night.
During the 2nd world war these buildings on the mountain were constructed by the government as a radar station. They played an important role in allocating ships and submarines. Over time they were left abandoned and eventually converted into a holiday retreat.
The cottage consists of an open-plan kitchen and lounge area. The lounge includes couches and dining table, with large windows over looking the ocean. The fully equipped kitchenette has the essentials for all your self-catering needs.
There are three bedrooms. The two double rooms have uninterrupted views over the ocean. The third bedroom has a 3/4 bed as well as a 3/4 bunk bed. This room has breathtaking mountain views. All rooms have bedside tables and reading lamps.
The bathroom has a shower over bath, a basin, and a toilet.
Step outside and embrace the morning with a hot water outdoor shower, or simply rinse off after a fun afternoon at the beach.
There is a large outdoor, built-in braai area from where the ever-changing ocean can be observed. This place is ideal for people who want to experience something unique. One of the most pristine beaches can be accessed just down the road for swimming and walks. The cottage is just 5km from Pringle Bay town center, close enough for dining and essential grocery shopping.
Please note the drive up to the cottage is VERY STEEP AND VERY BUMPY, vehicles with high ground clearance are recommended.
