About our home

The Garden Route is like the hidden gem of South Africa. Tourists seem to head straight for the Kruger Park or Cape Town. In their rush to a safari or a cableway trip up Table Mountain, they miss this piece of paradise. If you love the outdoors, long white pristine beaches, adrenalin activities, lush green forests and beautiful mountain scenery, then this is the spot for you. The Garden Route is only 4 hours drive from CT and with an airport in George, it is easy to visit Cape Town and the Garden Route, while doing a safari at one of the local game lodges. This is an all-in-one stop for tourists who, once they have been here, tend to return as frequently as possible.

As the Rand/Euro or Rand/Dollar rate is very favourable for tourists, this is a great value-for-money destination. You just need to buy the air tickets, but the rest is dirt cheap for visitors spending Euros and Dollars.

The Dairy:
This old dairy was turned into spacious, stylish accommodation. The Dairy is situated on a working dairy farm in the heart of the Garden Route. This unit has a modern, sunny and spacious feel to it and provides easy-living accommodation with lovely views of the Outeniqua mountains and a farm dam. This is a country escape at its best. But the busy village of Wilderness is close by and visitors can have easy access to the best restaurants, tourist attractions and other activities in the area.
The Dairy provides visitors with the following accommodation facilities:
• 2 Bedrooms sleeps 4 people (main room with Queen size bed & the 2nd with 2 single beds and a bunk bed)
• 2 Bathrooms (one is en-suite). Both have only showers. Please note: No bath available.
• Open-plan kitchen and lounge area with stacking doors and french doors leading onto veranda with braai.
• Well-equipped kitchen.
• Boma fireplace in the old kraal area (where the cows were gathered before milking).
• Family-friendly accommodation:
o This unit is best suited for 2 adults and 4 kids. Please note that the farm dam is not fenced off and this can pose a risk for smaller children.
o Lots of open lawn areas for kids to play, a pool available with sun-loungers on the deck, many board games available, kayak available for paddling on the dam.
