About our home

We have been living in Hout Bay for 22 years and bought and renovated Fountain Villa just over a year ago. We love the light, bright and airy feel this Cape Cod-style meets Cape Town alfresco-style of living where outdoor living is an extension of the home. The house is semi open plan with a quirky style. The living areas comprising living room, family room, eat-in kitchen and scullery are located on the 1st floor, as are 3 of the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with bath and shower the other with shower. All the bedrooms open out on to balconies with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and down towards the harbour. Moving up to the 2nd floor with the main bedroom en-suite with double shower, a balcony opening up to garden and stunning mountain views. There is also a study and TV/Reading mezzanine area on the 2nd floor. Whilst the house is suitable for children we don't recommend it for small children as there are drops from balconies and an open swimming pool.

More about us

  1. We are an English couple who have been living in Cape Town for 24 years. We have 3 children, 2 boys of 21 & 19 and a daughter of 15 hence being a bit restricted by school holidays.

  2. We work in the travel industry, providing luxury holiday villas

  3. We love Hout Bay and have built and renovated a few properties here, but have to say this one if our favourite by far!
