Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Kommetjie is a Little surfer village just outside of Cape Town. The village offers various cute cafes and pubs, a surf shop and a beautiful deli. Behind our house there is direct access to the mountain and nature reserve and the beach is just a 5 min walk away. Kommetjie is famous for its various surf spots including 2 big wave spots, and a number of reef and beach breaks for beginners to advanced surfers and of course the laid back urban life style. There is a big mall within a 10 min drive where you can find anything you need. Close by activities are: Cape Point, an ostrich farm, a piggy piggley farm for kids, cross country running, surfing, mountain biking, cycling, swimming, horse riding (on the beach if you like), fishing, visiting the famous Pinguins of Simonstown or taking beginner surfing classes in Muizenberg are all within max. 20 minutes drive. Cape Town is between 30-45 depending on traffic.

Buzzy restaurants
Espresso.com, the Green room, lighthouse pub and grill and a little local pizza place all in walking distance. If you take a little drive there is a wonderful organic cafe and other restaurants.
Retail therapy
Best retails therapy you will find in Cape Town City Centre. There is the v&A Waterfont with all big labels and there a re plenty of Little Shops every around.

Walks in the park
Walks on the Long Beach and up the mountains. You can easily spent your days outside and won’t get bored with what nature has to offer.
