Motswari Game Lodge (www.motswari.co.za) has been our family business for 40 years. Our private house is walking distance from the main lodge. It consists of a large open-plan living veranda, flowing on the wild bush and a plonge pool, leading of to one en-suite master bedrooms (with outdoor shower) and two en-suite bedrooms, all with thatch roofs. Another en-suite master bedroom (with outdoor shower) is located in a second private thatched building. It is a true in-door/out-door living in an authentic farmhouse in the middle of the wild, with all the facilities of the lodge few minutes walk away.
Our home is furnished with eclectic antiques and decorated with layers of meaningful collections. Rich textures and colours add to the warmth of the bricks and wood, creating the overall feeling of wellbeing. This captures the spirit and soul of a period in African history that has long since perished.
The house has wifi and is serviced daily. All bedrooms are air-conditionned.
Although the swap is on a self-catering basis (please note that the closest shops are located in Hoedspruit, 1 hour drive away), we offer you the possibility to take part of or all your meals with our guests at the lodge at a price to be agreed. We also offer you, for a fee, the possibility to use, for the duration of your stay, one of our open safari vehicles with a professional guide to do two game drives per day and discover the magical wildlife of the African bush.
Motswari is part of the Greater Kruger Park and offers unforgettable safari holidays to both international and local clients. All of Africa’s Big Five (elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards, buffalos) are abundant in the area. Supporting the Big Five are many other species of wildlife which traverse the open boundary between Motswari and the Kruger National Park, including cheetah, wild dogs, herbivores and antelopes plus all the nocturnal animals and over 350 species of birds, etc etc etc.
