Karen's reviewsAs a host (5)
“Top rating for this exchange. We had a really memorable stay. Lets face it, having zebra, kudu, wildebeest and warthog visiting while you cook on an outdoor fire in the evenings is pretty special. Our recommendation of you are thinking of staying is for a minimum of 5 nights, our stay was too short. The house itself is more set up for weekend escape than a home per se, with some open bedrooms on the mezzanine, and we did have a few little problems which Karen was quick to help sort out. The point being that this is not a luxury home, but it is a fabulous holiday. We hope to return someday.”
“Amazing place, amazing house and amazing host! We are so happy and feel blessed to have had the chance to stay in Marloth Park. All the animals, the nice house, the closeness to the Kruger park. Karen is the best host that you can have, so kind and helpful. We would love to come back someday and we give this piece of paradise our best recommendations. ”
“This amazing house is set in the bush in Marloth Park which runs alongside the Kruger Park and the Crocodile River. The Park is gated but the security is not high. However the house is alarmed. It was very hot and humid when we were there but there is good air-conditioning. You have to fill the splash pool yourself. We found it too hot to be outside much and the flies were terrible if there was food about. What we loved most was the visitations in the morning/evening by the zebra, Kudu and giraffes who will take apples from your hand! It is worth filling the water hole to encourage them. Cooking facilities are limited but you can eat out in the Park at some of the lodges (where you have have a swim) and at the 'villages' where you can buy basic provisions.”
“Our family had a wonderful stay at Marloth Park. Zebra, Kudu, Warthogs, Impala walked freely round the house which gave us a true bush experience. Kruger National Park was close by and we were able to see the most amazing animals on a daily basis. Enjoying sundowners at the Marloth lookout looking over the Crocodile river was also a treat we enjoyed every evening. Karen's home is air conditioned and has a plunge pool which was essential as the summer temperatures are high in Mpumalanga. We had an awesome time and can't wait for Karen and her family to enjoy our beach holiday house. Thank You, Thank You, Thank you ”
