Where is it?

Port Elizabeth (also known as PE) is a city on Algoa Bay in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province which is known for its numerous beaches. The Donkin Heritage Trail takes in the Old Hill neighbourhood's Victorian landmarks. Coastal boat tours spot whales and rare seabirds, while wildlife reserves outside the metropolitan area are home to elephants, rhinos and other big game.

This quiet, picturesque PE neighbourhood of Mount Croix is an idyllic place featuring beautiful homes and quiet streets. The large, mostly classically designed, often double-storey, homes of the area boast views of the Indian Ocean. With beaches 10 to 15 minutes away, residents are close enough to enjoy Port Elizabeth’s Blue Flag beaches but also far enough not to be affected by the hustle and bustle of tourist seasons.

There are many shops, boutiques and eateries situated right near Mount Croix, offering shopping convenience. and world class dining.

Steeped in history, Mount Croix is also the site for one of two Nelson Mandela Bay memorials; remembering the women and children who suffered and died in the British concentration camps during the Anglo Boer War 1899 – 1902.
