About our home

This open, clean space looks onto a South African indigenous garden. It forms the lower part of a house, with a separate entrance. The bachelors flat is fully furnished with a kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom. The space opens onto a beautiful deck and a lush indigenous garden. There are views of the ocean and city. The robins and sunbirds call in the morning.

More about us

  1. We are a family of males - a South African doctor and Cuban industrial designer and two young, energetic boys.

  2. As a family we love spending time outdoors and our home gives the feeling of flying over the Indian Ocean with views of the mountains

  3. We have lived in our home for six years - it is relaxing, functional and good for kids.

A few bars in the area, with live music, ocean views and weekend dancing.
Cozy cafés
Our 'hood has many cafes, all within walking distance, and a range of bespoke bakeries.
Retail therapy
Local designers, artists and a butcher have interesting spaces along Palmer Road in the Old Village.
Bit of culture
The Hive is a small, local cultural centre that plans events throughout the year linked to the Muizenberg festival. There is also a local theatre down the steps form the house, and art galleries ten minutes away. The annual kite festival also takes place in our village. The excellent Norval Foundation Contemporary Gallery is a 10 minute drive away, with a regular exhibitions of African art, a great restaurant and a spectacular sculpture garden.
