About our home

Welcome to our warm family home a few minutes from Noordhoek beach, next to the famous Cape Vineyards and surrounded by mountains. A magical wooden path leads you through the garden of mature trees filled with bird life, under the acacia trees and into a wide veranda built for lazy days of entertaining. There is a sparkling, solar heated salt pool which catches glimpses of the sea and an outside shower amongst the bamboos. The garden is wonderful for children with regular sightings of leopard toads and resident owls.

The house is open plan with high ceilings and the sleeper lintels give it a very tranquil rural feel. A large kitchen, ten seater oak table, though outside dining in summer is wonderful. We have a warm fireplace, for winter retreats, with winter providing magnificent sunsets.

The main bedroom is upstairs with high ceilings, exposed beams and large ensuite. Our sons share a large bedroom opposite. Downstairs is a guest bedroom with private courtyard and an office/playroom.

Noordhoek is known for its beauty and the Noordhoek village with restaurants and most delicious deli is a few minutes walk away. The beach is a few minutes drive or bile ride. We have bicycles available to explore.

Cape Town city is 25min drive and we are 40 min from the airport.

Where is it?

The Noordhoek Valley is without a doubt one of Cape Town's most treasured locations in the False Bay area on the Cape's Southern Peninsula. Property in Noordhoek looks out over the famous beach and vast wetlands to the pounding Atlantic rollers and the area has the added charm of a rural atmosphere and rustic surroundings. The tranquil Noordhoek village is found at the end of the famous Chapman's Peak Drive. The spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed on horseback and many of the farms offer horse riding for adults and children alike. Very few suburbs on the South Peninsula have such a vibrant rural and artistic feel and Cape Town is a mere 25 minutes' drive away.
