Where is it?

Observatory is one of Cape Towns oldest neighborhoods with Victorian houses and narrow streets. It is well known for its 'bohemian' and student life atmosphere. Conveniently 12 minutes drive in an Uber to the city center and Waterfront costing approximately R 60. The 'MyCity' bus is in 3 km proximity to the cottage. The train station is a 12 minute walk from the cottage. The trip to Simon's Town by train is worthwhile as it runs along the coast from Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simonstown. Public transport is not completely fantastic! Tourist often hire a car but mostly Uber which is very well priced and easily readily available.

Buzzy restaurants
Restaurants in the vicinity cater more for student life. There are however a variety of coffee shops and restaurants
