About our home

My home is a Herbert Baker cottage built in 1910 and, with ironic reference to the erstwhile Prime Minister's abode in Cape Town, Groote Schuur, is named Kleine Schuur. It is centrally located between downtown Johannesburg and the northern suburbs. Set in a twee English garden in the front and a wild African garden at the back, the cottage has an ultra-modern award-winning extension. It is truly an experience - an oasis in the heart of the city of Johannesburg.
