About our home

This home is in a gated estate that has a swimming pool, tennis courts and a squash court. A 2 minute paddle to the main beach and a 5 minute walk to the shops. A fantastic destination for a family featuring a large patio for sun tanning and a river for fishing

Buzzy restaurants
Great breakfasts at Le Fournil De Plett Bakery in the main street. Claire's cakes and Deli also in the main street. Lunch or supper at The Fat Fish in the Milkwood Centre or The Lookout Deck on Lookout Beach and many others like The Table, Surf Cafe and Plett Ski Boat Club
Cool bars
Ristorante Enrico at Keurboomstrand right on the sea. Simon's Bar at Emily Moon overlooking the Bitou Valley, among many others in the main street
Cozy cafés
The Table in Main Street Plett and Surf Cafe in the Beacon Isle Centre
Retail therapy
The Main Street is full of boutique stores and restaurants. Harkerville Saterday market for 8am to 1pm sells lovely fresh produce. Old Nick Midweek Market on Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm has organic home grown produce.
Bit of culture
Go wine tasting, Plett offers 16 estates to visit, i recommend Bramon and Newstead
Walks in the park
Walk around Robberg Peninsula, which is usually a 3 hour hiking trail. The beaches at Robberg, Central Beach,Lookout Beach and Keurboonstrand provide lovely walks at leisure.
Spot of exercise
Paddling to Whiskey Creek up the Keurbooms River with the added swimming and fishing adventure, is always refreshing. Mountain bike rides in the Harkerville forest and between Knysna and Plett is very scenic and good excercise. Hog Hollow Horse Trails also offer guided outrides.
Day tripping
Go wine tasting for the day or Kloofing with the guys from Africanyon. The animal sancturies close by are Birds of Eden, Monkeyland and Elephant World. You could take a picnic basket up the Keurbooms river and barbeque on one of the many islands. Whale watching and visiting the Robberg Seak colony with Oceana Adventures could be right up your street. Further away are some attractions at the town of Knysna. Alovely day out to Natures Valley is very exciting. There are many day trips in and around Plettenberg Bay.
