About our home

AfrikaDroom has truly been an african dream come true for us! Our country getaway offers 3 comfortable double rooms (1 en suite), sleeping 6 guests. The elegant and spacious living area contains a dining room, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen, with a fireplace for the winter months and air-conditioning for summer time. It was designed for people enjoying entertaining having ample space inside for intimate dinners and flowing onto a veranda with splash pool, ideal for those long summer lunches with friends and family.

Please keep in mind our baby, Habibi (Miniature Schnauzer), and Josephine our caretaker lives on the premises as well. She will take care of the daily cleaning so you can sit back and relax.

Riebeek Kasteel is well situated, within an hours drive you can visit the beaches, valley info mountains, vineyards and olive groves. Apart from the beautiful countryside the valley is surrounded with interesting little towns like Tulbagh and Darling and if you are keen on a bit more Wellington, Paarl and Malmesbury would be good choices.

About Riebeek Kasteel and the surrounding Valley: Nestling on the slopes of its own mountain, the dramatic Kasteelberg, the surrounds are wheat lands, vineyards and olive groves - creating a distinctive touch of the Mediterranean in Africa. Only an hour from Cape Town, you will love the rural atmosphere of these quaint villages with a wide range of choice in accommodation, places to eat and drink, opportunities to do a bit of retail therapy or taste the delicious local wine, olives and other products. Plan to visit our Olive Festival in May or the Shiraz and Art Weekend in March - celebrating the wine, olives, food and culture of the area. Make this your base and explore beautiful beaches, majestic mountains, world renowned wine routes, the Karoo and the Mother City, all within an hour or two's drive from the valley. Immerse yourself in the magic of the Riebeek Valley! (courtesy of Riebeek Valley Tourism)
