“Most beautiful country home in the Western Cape! Comfortable, clean and so much style and soul. Riebeeck-Kasteel is the perfect town for a break-away weekend from the city or as a country base to explore the Cape Vineyards and mountains as well as Cape Town. Communication with Florina was only a pleasure and she and her husband had been very accommodating all the way. Josie, the live-in housekeeper and Habibi were a real treat. We can recommend staying there with 5++ stars on all aspects. ”

Florina's reviews
As a host (2)“We are a family of five who stayed in Riebeek Kasteel over Christmas 2015 and had a great week. When we arrived we were happily surprised to find that Florina's "Africa Droom" was even more fantastic than the pictures could tell. The house is very well planned, modern and well equipped. The ground floor is all about socializing, with a smart open kitchen, big dining table and a great living room with comfy sofas and easy chairs. Upstairs are bedrooms and bathrooms, we especially enjoyed the fact that each bedroom has its own AirCon. All rooms are elaborately decorated and they all harmonize with the selected theme. Outside is a plunge pool, very much enjoyed by our kids. Further more they loved the garden with it’s grass lawns. We had many dinners outside, at the big wooden table, enjoying the distant mountains change color by the setting sun. The housekeeper, Josie, who stays in separate house on the premises, takes excellent care of the house and truly made our stay even more comfortable. A short walk takes you to the centre of Riebeek Kasteel where you can find a PicknPay, serveral eateries, small shops, a micro brewery and the Royal Hotel (the oldest colonial hotel in SA). The house is also a perfect base camp for a ”summit attempt” on the wine route of Swartland. Florina is a most gracious host and everything was as explained in our correspondence. She was always available when we needed some information or help. To sum up - anyone making this exchange will have an unforgettable positive experience. ”
