About our home

Set in stunning countryside surrounded by vineyards, mountains and rivers, our home is ideal for families, small groups & couples. This delightful, recently renovated historical home is in a truly beautiful village that boasts glorious views. You can enjoy many activities such as walking, horse riding, mountain biking, wild swimming, bird watching, boat trips, game drives, wine tasting not to mention the fantastic food. The farmhouse is ideal for nature lovers especially taking in the wonderful view from the stoep (terrace) with a glass of local wine in hand!

There is a barbecue, wood burner inside for cooler winter evenings, beautifully planted garden. Swimming in the ‘natural’ pool with its resident malachite kingfisher is very refreshing on a hot summers evening.

The village and the area hosts some of South Africa's most prestigious vineyards and is ideal for wine tours & lunches. There are many festivals throughout the year. Our home is only a 5-minute drive from town of Robertson and has many good restaurants, shops and historical houses dating from 1812 along wide leafy streets. Hermanus can be visited in a day trip to see the many whales from June to November. Cape Agulhas, the southern most tip of Africa is doable in a day, where the Indian Ocean and the Benguela ocean meet.
We would prefer a minimum of five day swap.
