About our home

Our house will be undergoing renovations during 2019. Until we have a better understanding of time lines we will not be able to book swaps months in advance.
We are interested in long term swaps for 2020 - 2 to 6 month between June and December. If the idea interests you, please message to discuss.

Family home in the leafy suburbs of Cape Town. Large rooms with high ceilings and wooden floors throughout. Leafy, garden with a heated pool, outdoor gas braai and seating area as well as a children’s playground.
Centrally located with a 10 minutes’ drive to the CBD. A short stroll to the local train station.
Sleeps 5 with the option to sleep an additional person or two children on the sleeper couch.
Friendly neighbours. Many local restaurants and shops within 10 minutes drive, some within walking distance.

Rooms include: 3 bedrooms with and additional en-suite loft room with air conditioning; 2 family bathrooms; large kitchen; play room stacked with a range of children’s toys; dining room, family room with log fireplace, smart TV with access to Netflix and Showmax as well as a view of one of natural wonders of the world, Table Mountain.
The house is serviced daily during weekdays or as required. We have two shy but well behaved dogs that will be here during your stay adding an additional element of security.

If peace and quiet in the heart of untouched nature is your preference, you have the option to have access to our wooden cabin situated on the Breede river in the heart of the wine lands neighbouring olive farms. Less than two hours’ drive from Cape Town, you can experience both the city and farm life South Africa has to offer.


More about us

  1. We are a couple with two well behaved children of 8 and 9 years old.

  2. We loving taking time out and traveling for extended periods of time.

  3. We both run our own businesses. I run a Centre for children with autism and Pete is in finance.

Buzzy restaurants
There is a strip of great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. These include: Fat Cactus a Mexican restaurant, Chai yo, a Thai restaurant as well as Barrusos, a pizza pasta restaurant,
Retail therapy
5 minute drive from various small shopping Centres, 10 minute drive from Cavendish square where you will find everything you need.
Walks in the park
Walk around the historical common which is a quick 3 minute walk away. Children's park is also a stroll away.
Spot of exercise
Jog around the neigbourhood and join others jogging around the common
Day tripping
So may places! 10 minute drive from the CBD. 30 minutes drive from most beaches, or take a day out to discover the winelands.
