About our home

This original old farmhouse has been fully restored. Set on a working wine farm (with restaurant and facilities for children) has a private pool and is fully equipped with everything you need. Full time housekeeper available on request. Perfect for large family or group of friends. High ceilings, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, pet friendly.

Where is it?


Stanford Hills is set just 2km outside the Victorian Village of Stanford, in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is 1.5 hours drive by car from central Cape Town, and only 20 minutes from the vibey tourist mecca of Hermanus, known for it's whales , marine life, and superb blue flag beaches. There are many fine restaurants and interesting activities and shops in the area, and Stanford Hills is the ideal base from which to explore.

Spot of exercise
Guests staying at the Manor house are welcome to hike wherever they like on the farm, explore on horseback, or swim in the farm dams.
Day tripping
Easy day trips include Cape Agulhas (the Southern Most Point of Africa). Gansbaai, known for shark cage diving and whale watching boat trips. Hermanus with so much to do and see. Hemel and Aarde valley, with amazing views, restaurants and famous wine estates.
