About our home

My home is situated in a quiet suburb of Stellenbosch and is in walking distance to the town centre of Stellenbosch. It has recently been renovated, with large rooms and is set in a beautiful large garden (approx. 1 800 sq. m) with plenty of trees. The house has wooden floors throughout and has a lovely flow from inside to outside. We have a lovely patio area outside looking onto the swimming pool where we barbecue during summer. We have a housekeeper for the last 11 years who cleans and does the laundry 2/3 times per week, and this can be arranged during your stay.

More about us

We are a "family" of 3...I, Saskia am 39 yrs old and I am an interior designer. I am a single mother...I have one daughter (13 yrs old) and my sister who is 19 years old also lives with us. I have my own business, and I work from my studio at home. I was born in the Netherlands and have family there, hence my interest in going to Europe during the school holiday periods.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The house is situated in a very leafy, green, established neighbourhood. Stellenbosch is renowned for its wine production and is the second oldest town in South Africa, after Cape Town. Stellenbosch is a beautiful, characterful old town, nestled in a valley with surrounding mountains, with many examples of Cape Dutch architecture and is a mere 30 min drive from Cape Town. There are plenty of activities in and around Stellenbosch...wine tasting at some of the most beautiful wine farms, great restaurants, golfing, whale watching, hiking, mountain biking, beautiful beaches etc.
