About our home

Our home is on a sea water canal with its own gazebo and jetty. Modern and comfortable with a beautiful patio downstairs and upstairs . The home has a lounge and tv room, beautiful modern kitchen and ding area. All bedrooms are on suit , sunny and bright and secure

  1. My husband and I are both retired.

  2. My husband was the CEO of Cementation at Murray and Roberts until a year ago. I was in advertising but retired 14 years ago. We now spend much of our time traveling, cycling and swimming. Our sons are grown up and live in Perth and Johannesburg.

  3. I do a great deal of painting and our house is filled with my oils. My husband is now on the board of an international company. We have recently been renovating our house.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Thesen Island is populated by about 600 homes all of a similar style , it is beautifully maintained with quite streets safe for children. There are several canals for boating and they exit into a large estuary with access to beaches and restaurants, swimming boating and water sports. The town is surrounded by forests with beautiful walks or cycling . There are many lovely beach resorts close by such as Plettenburg bay.
There are numerous coffee venues and restaurants in the small town which is accessed by one road.
The island is very secure and monitored by cameras at all times.

Cool bars
Restuaurant choices include, Italian, Tapas, plenty of fresh fish and local cuisine, the food is excellent. One can find a lovely historic pub called the Bell which can by reached by boat and road.
Bit of culture
Historical mines in the forests no longer in use can be reached via a nature reserve in the forests, one can take a lovely fresh water swim in a waterfall nearby
Spot of exercise
One can walk, swim, cycle and play golf there are 3 lovely golf courses in the area. The Island has tennis courts, squash courts and a putting green for golf.
Day tripping
One can take drives to the Elephant Park nearby, there is bungy jumping available and Zip lining in the forest areas
