About our home

Our home is spacious with large garden, including extensive relaxation areas. There are two bedrooms with double beds and, if requested, we could set up two of the smaller rooms as children's bedrooms. We have fireplaces in both the lounge and the large, farms style kitchen/dining area and of course, the traditional South African outdoor cooking area "Braai".

More about us

We have not done a house swap before but are very keen to try it as we are very proud of our old farm house. We Are hoping to either be in West Kilbride round about 18th April 2014, or visit Barcelona or Palma De Majorca in your Spring or Autumn. If you are interested, we look forward to hearing from you.

Where is it?

Villiersdorp is probably the friendliest rural town in South Africa. The environment is that of a farming village where the streets are lined with oak trees and the fruit orchards and vineyards are four streets away. We have access to the mountains and if you would enjoy hiking, mountain biking and farmland walking, our home will be your dream house.
Our village is 40 kms away from the gourmet capital of South Africa viz Franschhoek, accessed over a magnificent mountain pass. The Indian ocean is 70kms away @ Hermanus, famous for whale watching and fishing.
It's a great days outing to drive into Cape Town (1 hour 30 mins) to do the trip up Table Mountain or visit Robben Island but rural towns like Villiersdorp are a much pleasanter option than city living.
