About our home

If you enjoy luxury, privacy and space then this is for you. Stunning expansive villa in a lush garden overlooking manicured vineyards and majestic mountains. This property is set on a 35 hectare wine and grape farm and boasts a beautiful rose garden, romantic pond, sparkling pool and glorious views. Located between Wellington and Paarl, only 50 minutes from Cape Town, this retreat serves as an ideal base to explore the cape winelands.

The Bakenhof Manor House is available as an exclusive and complete unit for 8 adults ( preferably a minimum stay of 7 nights) and is not suitable for small children. Should you wish to stay less nights or wish to bring your small kids we are happy to offer you any of our individual self catering suites on the farm - please refer to

If you take the entire Manor House then you will enjoy your own private pool, dining room, lounge, TV room, entrance hall, kitchen, garden and 4 luxury suites with own bathrooms and own separate entrances. Three of the bedrooms have direct access to the rest of the house, one suite has no direct access. The manor house is self catering - during your stay our onsite staff will continue with their regular daily duties as instructed by our Property Manager, to ensure the infrastructure, garden and pool are kept in good order. If you require a cleaning or laundry service this can be arranged in advance with a cleaning/laundry company, at an additional charge. Regret no additional overnight visitors ( maximum two guests per bedroom) or functions/ parties allowed, unless by prior arrangement. A vehicle is available for those with an international drivers license ( subject to T's & C's) and we offer two mountain bikes to enjoy cycling on the farm.

It is possible to exchange the entire Manor House or smaller parties might opt for one or more of the 4 luxury suites as individual rooms - without access to the rest of the villa and pool, and for shorter stays. Two suites have a compact kitchenette equipped with an in-room bar fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, which is ideal to prepare a light breakfast or snack. The other two suites share a reading room equipped with a compact kitchenette to make coffee, keep drinks cold, make a toast or heat up a prepared meal.

More about the layout of the house:
Please refer to the floorplans in our photo gallery to get a better idea of the layout of the rooms.
Three bedrooms have direct access to the rest of the manor house. A door can be locked to restrict access.
