Our holiday home in South Africa was built in 2009 on what used to be an avocado grove and several of the original trees can be found in the garden still.
Please have a look at our website for the house www.avocadogrove.co.uk for photos until I get photos added here :-)
The house is in the quite leafy suburbs of White River, which is near Nelspruit, in South Africa's Mpumalanga province. The house is about 30 minutes from Numbi gate of Kruger Park, which has phenomenal game viewing opportunities.
The house is 4 bedroom, 4 bathrooms and has two lounge areas, a TV area, a very large kitchen/diner, and a large shaded verandah. There is a very large garden - loads of space for kids to run around and let off steam.
The house is very secure with electric gates, a garaging and plenty of additional space for parking.
There is sooo much to do in the area - the main attraction has got to be Kruger, the game viewing is so impressive you might want to keep going back day after day for your whole holiday. One day there certainly isn't enough. But there's also white water rafting, the panorama route (a particularly scenic route), 4 x 4 driving trails, bungee jumping, hot air ballooning or simpler activities like a visit to the Lowveld Botanical Gardens. If you want to combine your trip to White River with something different, the beaches in Mozambique are a few hours drive away.
White River is less than 30 minutes from Nelspruit International airport (aka Kruger Mpumalanga airport) which has flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
