About our home

Manzini is a fully serviced, self catering holiday villa situated on the banks of the Touw River, Wilderness. The area forms part of the greater Wilderness Nature Reserve and Estuary. Did you know that Wilderness is one of only five documented areas in the world that has, within a five kilometer radius sea, land, rivers, lakes and a mountain range. Due to the sensitivity of the area it would therefore be appreciated if you could keep noise levels toned down.

Francis [ house keeper ] will be there to welcome you on arrival, help you settle in enabling you to get started with your holiday.
He has private accommodation on the property and his duties include :
• Outside areas
• Servicing the kitchen
• Bedrooms and linen changes
• Bathrooms + towels
• Boats and canoes

Further regarding Francis – he is instructed to get duties done as early as possible as not to be invasive and therefore always suggest you to pack the dishwasher at night ensuring you a clean kitchen for breakfast.

Wilderness boasted Boutique Supermarket, Spar with butchery, deli, bakery etc. Garden Route Mall in George, about 10 min drive offers all national chains and some local speciality stores. Pick ‘n Pay, Woollies, Fruit and Veg etc. Best meat in town at Van Rensburgs and Hartman’s both situated in the road as you enter into George from Wilderness. Lancewood cheese shop opposite Van Rensburg’s.

The best farmers market every Saturday morning in Sedgefield, Wild Oats – a must visit. Friday evenings night market in Wilderness. Milkwood centre – live music and awesome pancakes.

Wilderness has a couple of great restaurants catering for all – Pomodaras [ Italian ], Blue Olive [ general ], Joplins [ only steak, egg and chips ] and my favorite Flava.
If our small tourist information bureau does not provide you with all the info you need visit the Wilderness information office in the Milkwood Centre.

Plenty of books to read at Manzini – from easy Mills and Boons to heavy autobiographies.

Boats + canoes – Francis will assist and show you how all works.
