About our home

We have a lovely, spacious and relaxed home with a large garden (about 60m2). It’s a perfect place to explore the heart of La Rioja- secluded and relaxed- but within easy reach of major towns and sights. The house dates back to 1900.
In the ground floor there is an open kitchen dining room where easily sits 12 round the table. There is a living room, a bath and another kitchen with a large table in the garden; that is the one we use during the summer. The garden is perfect for summer BBQs.
In the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms, two of them are double and the other one are bunk beds. The bathroom’s been completed renovated two years ago. a nice living room with a sofa (that can be a bed) and a TV and music recorder.
In the attic, there are another two double bedrooms and my girls and their friends space, with place to play and dress up.
One of the most important purposes that we had when we bought the house was that it has to be open to invite friends. That is why it’s always full of families with children.
It is a semidetached house in a very lovely and friendly village on the picturesque La Rioja with small food shops, 4 bars with free Wifi and a hotel with a restaurant. It’s surrounded by vineyards where to have good walks and cycling. It is next to “El Camino de Santiago” .We’re 10 minutes from some of the most beautiful places of La Rioja: Santo Domingo de la Calzada, San Millan de la Cogolla, Briones, Haro (where there are a lot of Wine cellars), …Logroño, Laguardia, Cenicero, (30 Minutes)
If you want day trips out we are in easy reach of Bilbao; with a lot of interesting places to visit: Guggenhein Museun, the old part of the city with fantastic bars and restaurants,… and Vitoria. San Sebastian, Santander, Burgos. is just 2 hours by car from our house.
